DIPLOMACY: Meeting of the new Ambassador  of Chad Kitoko Gâta with the Chair and President of Exim Bank Reta Jo Lewis: Opening of prospects for economic and commercial cooperation

 

Chad's new ambassador recently met with Reta Jo Lewis, President of the U.S. Export-Import Bank, to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnership between the United States and the Chadian government. This meeting is of great importance because it opens the way to opportunities to promote bilateral trade and investment in Chad.

The Chadian ambassador, representing her country with diligence and ambition, discussed with Ms. Lewis key areas where closer collaboration could be envisaged. Ms. Lewis, an accomplished American lawyer, former diplomat and politician, brings valuable expertise to the negotiating table. As President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States, she has more than 25 years of experience in international affairs, law, public policy and regulatory affairs. His extensive experience in these areas gives him a deep understanding of economic and trade issues between nations.

The meeting between the Chadian Ambassador and Ms. Lewis was fruitful, and both sides agreed to hold a more in-depth meeting to further explore opportunities for cooperation. This demonstrates the commitment of both parties to establish a strong and lasting collaboration in the economic field.

As President of the U.S. Export-Import Bank, Ms. Lewis was involved in the approval of significant financing for infrastructure projects.
