On July 24th, a grand opening ceremony took place in Los Angeles to honor WattEV, which proudly unveiled the region's very first large electric truck. This major event brought together significant industry players, government representatives, as well as committed partners and stakeholders in favor of the environment.

WattEV's co-founder and CEO, Salim Youssefzadeh, warmly thanked everyone who contributed to the rapid establishment of the facility. He emphasized the enormous effort made to make this operational site functional in just 14 months. This achievement reflects the company's commitment and determination to promote electric mobility and create a large-scale heavy vehicle charging infrastructure. A particularly remarkable moment during the inauguration was the presence of Ambassador Kitoko Gata, representing Chad. He expressed admiration for WattEV's work and hoped that the new generation of Africans, especially the Chadians, would be inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of the American people to lift Africa out of underdevelopment. This statement highlights how technological advancements in electric transportation can have a positive impact on emerging economies, offering opportunities for sustainable development.
